Information on Permits

This chapter will explain the process for applying for parking permits along with an explanation of different permits. According to a valid document, the user has the option to enter a parking permit application for:

• Rezidentská karta (Resident Permit) – It allows, without further payment, temporary parking of a motor vehicle with the registration number to which the parking permit is assigned, in parking spaces in the zone for which the parking permit is issued. It may be issued to a natural person who has a permanent residence in an apartment in the zone for which the parking permit is issued. One person can apply maximum for three resident cards.
• Abonentská karta pre fyzickú osobu (Subscriber Permit for a Natural Person) – It allows, without further payment, temporary parking of a motor vehicle with the registration number to which the parking permit is assigned, in parking spaces in the zone for which the parking permit is issued. A natural person who is the owner of a property in the zone for which the parking permit is issued may be issued only one subscriber parking permit per zone.
• Abonentská karta pre právnickú osobu (Subscriber Permit for a Legal Person) – It allows, without further payment, temporary parking of a motor vehicle with the registration number to which the parking permit is assigned, in parking spaces in the zone for which the parking permit is issued. A legal person is a person who operates a business on the basis of a trade licence or a person who operates a business on the basis of a licence other than a trade licence and has a place of business, registered office or establishment in the zone for which the parking permit is issued. A legal person may be issued only one subscription parking permit for one zone.
• Návštevnícka karta (Visitor Permit) – It allows, without further payment, temporary parking of a motor vehicle in parking spaces in the zone for which the parking permit is issued up to 100 hours per year, in case that at least one residential parking permit is issued for the apartment, or 200 hours per year, in case that no residential parking permit is issued for the apartment.
  If the user is a disabled person, they will receive 750 hours per year under the visitor’s permit.
• Bonusová karta (Bonus Permit) – It allows, without further payment, temporary parking of a motor vehicle with the registration number to which the parking permit is assigned, in parking spaces in the zones with tariff band B, C, D, cumulatively for a period of two hours per day.
• Zľavová karta pre elektromobil  (Electric Vehicle Discount Permit) – It allows the registration of an electric vehicle, with the exception of hybrid electric vehicles, for the purpose of providing a discount of 50% of the relevant amount of parking payment.
